The Satellite Safety Alliance commends the confirmation of Alan Davidson as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information, leading the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).

The Senate’s swift and bipartisan action ensures that our federal airwaves have an experienced manager who understands the public interest leading the agency.

We look forward to working with Davidson on maintaining NTIA’s decade-long opposition to Ligado Networks’ plans, which will cause harmful interference to satellite communications and GPS. These vital services are too essential to jeopardize by a company with a history of instability.
